Vedische Tradition
Die Veden wurden in Indien über Jahrtausende in mündlicher Form überliefert. In den Brahmanenfamilien wurde dieses komprimierte und umfassende Wissen in Form von strikt festgelegten Versen zuerst in Vedischer Sprache, später im daraus entstandenen Sanskrit jeweils vom Vater an den Sohn übergeben. Seinen eigenen Ursprung sieht der Veda darin, dass erleuchtete Seher (Rishis) die Verse in der Tiefe ihres Bewusstseins „hörten.
